"For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
Isaiah 9:6
“For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.”
Col. 1:19,20

Dear Praying Family,
*The theme of reconciliation is especially meaningful to our family this year. We have spent some time seeking God’s direction and intervention in bringing reconciliation to some of our relationships within, and outside of, our extended family. Our home church was, and continues to be, very supportive in every imaginable way in facilitating that reconciliation. It never ceases to amaze us how, when things are discussed in the light of God’s Truth, events and misunderstandings are clarified and seen for what they really are.

*We ask for your prayer for our oldest, Emily, who is still young (17) and will be making decisions that will impact the rest of her life. Both our home church and our mission agency place a high priority on family, and they have asked us to live in the States until next year when Emily turns 18.

*Due to the fact that we are not going back to the field until next year, we have lost several financial supporters. So, we will need to contact more churches and individuals to see whether God touches their hearts to support our ministry. If you know of a church or of an individual that has a heart for the people of the Amazon jungle, please put us in contact with them.

*Andy will be making another trip to Peru in January. For the first leg of his trip, he will be going to Iquitos, in the Amazon jungle, for a week of meetings, family seminar sessions, and services in 6 different churches. He, along with the other members of the missionary field team, will also be meeting with the pastors’ association. Then, they will meet with a group of Christian workers concerning the future of the Bible Institute. The field team will finish off with a couple of team sessions to discuss topics related to current and future ministries.

*The second leg of Andy’s trip will take him to the southwestern city of Arequipa, which is the second-largest city in Peru. He will be meeting for a week with the Spanish-Speaking South America leaders. As in the past, they will receive teaching and training, but they will also spend time strategizing, planning, sharing, and fellowshipping. Please pray for this leadership team.

*We will be spending Christmas in Maryland, and we are just as surprised about that as anyone. Despite experiencing some detours and difficulties, we still feel that we have been extremely blessed. Many are praying for us, and many have lifted us up with their words. We have also been the recipients of a donated vehicle and several very helpful financial love gifts- all of which have been a huge help and encouragement to us.
*We wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a Blessed New Year!
