September 2016 Prayer Letter

September 14, 2016 Brazil Gospel Fellowship Mission Ron & Nancy Johnson
ďAnd we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,ĒÖ.. Romans 8: 28a

Dear Praying Friends!

Thank you so much for your prayers and financial support. Thank you so much for your love for missions. It has been a while since we sent out a letter---please forgive us!
This year we were in the US March through May. We visited some of our supporters, visited family and friends, and had medical work done. It was a blessing to see some of you who pray for us! It was also a blessing to be able to spend some time with our children and grand kids! We were able to be with daughter Lydia when she enrolled her daughter Julia in kindergarten where they live near Chattanooga, TN. Also, Nancy was able to be with our son Andrew and his wife Damaris for a few weeks when their second daughter Gabriella Anna Johnson was born near Philadelphia, PA in August. I was also able to get an MRI testing done for a high PSA shown in a blood test. The doctor said that there is no cancer, but he wants me to have more testing done in a year.
Thank God for our daughter Rosieís safe arrival back from 5 months teaching in the Far East. Pray for her as she works to finish her Masterís . Also, pray for her ministries with young peopleís class in SS and her Bible studies.
We are working on several evangelistic programs for the coming days. The first one is for girls and their moms. These girls are attending a program that two teachers from our church here in Poco Doce have each week. The program is called Biblia nas Escolas (or Bible in the Schools). Thank the LORD that in some public schools here in Brazil we are still permitted to teach the Bible. This outreach is in the nearby village of Cajueirinho where an international airport is being built. The airport will bring huge changes to a small rural area. It will also bring new jobs and with that new people living in the area. Nancy is also writing a Christmas program to be used at our church. Please be praying for these and other ministries.
Please be praying for a Brazilian music teacher for the Bible Institute. What a blessing that would be!! We pray that someday it will be totally Brazilian run-in Godís time. At present we are not teaching at the Bible Institute, but we have a love for that ministry. We have a goal of trying to visit as many ABI graduates as possible to encourage them in their ministries.
Pray for the Poco Doce church we are working with. Ron has finished going through the gospel of John verse by verse after about a year of Sunday night messages. Now we are going through the epistle of Romans. Next Sunday, Lord willing, we will start on the 8th chapter of Romans.
May God richly bless you as you serve Him and as we all faithfully watch for His return.
Yours and His,
Ron and Nancy Johnson (plus Rosie)
