Happy Thanksgiving. May you have a blessed time with family and friends celebrating Thanksgiving Day. What a time to reflex on the Lordís blessing in our lives and to be able to thank Him for His tender care in every aspect of our lives.
We are thankful that I am doing so much better since my bad fall on October 17th. That afternoon, I fell off a bottom step. After one X-ray and a MRI about a week later, it was determined that I had a double sprain (two torn ligaments) on the outside of the right ankle and some bruised bones on top of the foot. I am doing much better now after PT three times a week and doing do 4-5 sessions of exercises at home that last about 45 min. each. Presently I am wearing an ankle brace and using a cane. I am to see the food doctor on Monday, December 1 to see how I am doing. I am praying that I will be able to drive.
Some of the things we have done before all this happened, was to visit about 8-10 supporters - both individual and churches. I am deacon at the church so need to be there certain Sundays to do some work in that area. Carol helps in the nursery and primary church from time to time. I have taught some Adult Sunday Classes over the summer though don't do too well since the heart aorta problems. We did help out in a preteen camp in July for a week.
Our plans are to travel to Florida the beginning of January 2016 to continue to work with Bible Basics International - if I can drive by then. We have worked with them for 4 months a year these last 4 years.
All summer, while here in Waynesboro, I have been working on raising funds for Hope Radio in Togo W. Africa. You remember I write grant requests to foundations. We are thankful that the tower is constructed; a crew will start building the studio in December; most all the equipment for that is being purchased now. Another gift came in to purchase enough solar panels to provide constant electricity for the radio. We are praying that by June of 2016, Hope Radio will be on the air there in Mango, Togo broadcasting the gospel to the thousands of unreached in that area.
We thank you for your faithfulness in praying for us; these prayers help us in serving the Lord in our upper senior years. Our desire is to serve Him until He calls us home to be with Him.
