Dear Fellow Laborers for Christ,
This letter finds us in Florida for our annual four months that we do voluntary work with Bible Basics International Missions. This is the fifth year that we have been helping out. Carol does the cleaning of the two buildings that comprise the Headquarters of BBI here in the Tampa area (Odessa). She does the run to the post office each day plus anything else that is asked of her.
My task is to write grant requests for Hope Radio in Togo, W. Africa. It is not a very easy task. Foundations are awarding fewer funds for projects such as ours, but in spite of that, God is providing funding for Hope Radio. Our progress so far for Hope Radio…
In 2014, a nine acre piece of property was purchased. A security wall has been built around the perimeter. A fresh water well has been dug and opened for those involved with this ministry. The 190 foot tower, antennas and transmitter have been erected on the property - gift from a business man in Washington State. The transmitter building (see picture) is being constructed this month. The construction of the studio/office building will begin this month as well – Once again these constructions have been made possible with a generous gift from a business man in the Tampa area. A container will be shipped in about two months with enough solar panels to provide the electricity for HOPE Radio. Our goal is to begin broadcasting by September 2016.
On a personal note, we are in good health these days. I still wear an ankle brace from the bad fall I had in October. It seems to be healing but ever so slowly. But I can get around on it which counts.
Thanks so much for your continued interest and support for us in our retirement ministries.
